Bugler Footy Team put in Valiant Effort
Posted on Tuesday 8 May 2012
The cobwebs were blown off the Bugler Football kit as the eight players below (from left to right; Adam Corrigan, Karl Morris, Mitchell Cooper, Dave Culliton, Andy Bugler, Liam Kelly, Karim Najm and Ray West) represented the Company last Friday in a 5 aside football tournament organized by A2Dominion.
The venue was Isleworth, West London but surprisingly no one from Sky Sports made the 200 yard journey from their office to film/watch the event. The tournament took the form of a round robin group format and, as well as Bugler and A2Dominion, the three other teams who took part were JRP, Hill Partnerships and Silver. Only four of the Bugler team had played together previously – and that was three years ago – so a return of three closely fought defeats and one victory was not too disappointing. On the score sheet were Mitchell Cooper (2) and a goal of the tournament contender from Ray West. As the tournament progressed and the legs tired, some interesting challenges started to fly in, particularly during the match between Bugler and fellow contractor’s Hill Partnerships, but thankfully all was forgotten in the bar afterwards.
Many thanks to Rodney Ebanks from A2Dominion for organizing the event and to all the Bugler team who travelled from as far afield as Romney Marsh, Luton, Tring, Watford, Royston, Surrey and, in Liam’s case, somewhere in deepest darkest South East London.

March brings record handovers
Posted on Wednesday 25 April 2012
A very busy month of March saw us handover seven completed sites to our Clients with a total of 230 new homes. All of these handovers enabled our clients to meet the HCA funding deadline which was the driving force behind the March deadline. This achievement took a great team effort across the Company but with a number of new sites starting, there’s no time for easing up as the cycle starts again.

Dual Considerate Constructors Success for Bugler Sites
Posted on Monday 12 March 2012
Bugler Site Managers Keith Franklin and Mark Herbert are likely to be entered into the Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards having achieved site audit scores which put their projects in the top 10% of construction sites in the country.
At Third Cross Road, Twickenham, our 53 unit site for Thames Valley Housing Association, Keith Franklin scored a superb 35 marks which was the highest mark scored by a Bugler Site Manager to date.
Only two weeks later, Mark Herbert trumped this by achieving an incredible 35.5 marks on his first site audit. Now Mark is in the process of completing our 31 unit scheme at Navarino Road, Hackney for Dr Spurstowes and Bishop Wood Almshouses.
We congratulate both Keith and Mark on their fantastic efforts in engaging with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and working hard to ensure that Bugler sites are always viewed as good neighbours.

1982 – 2012 Celebrating 30 Successful Years in Business
Posted on Tuesday 3 January 2012
This year marks the anniversary of our 30th year in business. Formed in 1982 by our current Chairman, Tom Bugler, we have enjoyed a varied, interesting, rewarding and most of all successful 30 years building new homes for the private and public sector alongside a whole host of other buildings including schools, churches, community centres, industrial units, restaurants, shops and many more. Despite our growth, particularly in the public sector, we have never lost touch with our roots marked by the fact we are just about to develop 5 detached houses in Rickmansworth for our sister company, Bugler Homes, a mere stones throw from where our first project, a single detached house in Heronsgate, was built in 1982.

Little Hill, Heronsgate
One very strong ethos which has been an ever present over the past 30 years, is the emphasis on teamwork and the avoidance of blame culture and we look forward to the next 30 years with this philosophy firmly entrenched in the team.
