Following the recent completion of works on a new-build 37 unit scheme built at Ealing Road, Alperton for ASRA Greater London Housing Association, it was a pleasure to support an excellent community initiative. Students from Alperton Community School in Wembley were given a guided site tour, followed by a question and answer session on how buildings are constructed and why new homes can help regenerate local communities.
This is the first development we have undertaken with ASRA which was completed three months ahead of programme. We are scheduled to handover our second ASRA scheme in the New Year at Long Walk, Plumbstead.
Donation to Mulberry Primary School Adjacent to Reform Row, Haringey

It was a pleasure to donate a cheque for £500 to The Mulberry Primary School which is adjacent to our site at Reform Row, Haringey . Buglers have worked closely with the school throughout the build programme and the pupils were given the opportunity to choose the name of the new building. The winning name of 'Silver Court' came from Paula Stuomaite who remembered that the previous industrial complex on the site was called Silver Industrial Estate.

Commenting on the project, Mr Waite stated: "I have learned over the years how very easy it is for anyone to slip down and fall out of mainstream society". Mysterious Medieval Finds at Church Street, West Ham
Posted on Tuesday 1 January 2008
On-going archaeological investigations at our Church Street site have attracted interest from English Heritage and local nursery school children alike.
Our project for One Housing Group was identified at the planning stage as being in an area of potential archaeological importance in the centre of medieval West Ham. Subsequently we have been host to L-P Archaeology who are carrying out an extensive excavation across the whole of the site.
When works are complete the site will become a 54 unit mixed tenure scheme with a basement car park.
Although we have had to put our works on hold for the duration of the dig, we have used this time to help cement a good relationship with our neighbour, The Rebecca Cheetham Nursery.
Several visits to site have been made by the children who range from 2 to 5 years of age. Although the children seem to have enjoyed the experience of wearing hard hats and Hi-Vis vests, they were more interested in the plant and machinery on the site, than the archaeology beneath it.
Several finds have been unearthed during the dig. Fragments of decorated tile dating from medieval times were identified, along with a piece of pottery which according to the archaeologists is “fairly unique and a bit of a mystery”. This pottery was recovered along with other medieval material and could date from as early as the 12th Century.
