Posted on Wednesday 1 December 2004

We were delighted to recently sponsor the switching on of the Christmas Lights in Fleet Town Centre. Over the past year, we have had an important presence in Fleet Town Centre as our site at Richmond Court progressed. The site consists of 12 new build flats and the conversion of a town centre office block into 35 flats for Pavilion Housing Association. As part of the opening ceremony, we were delighted to be in attendance on Pavilions stall where both Mike Seaton and Kevin Tomlinson represented the Company.

Bugler Site Manager Receives NHBC Award at Railway Hotel Site

Posted on Friday 1 October 2004

Jim Birt was recently awarded the NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award for his achievements at the Railway Hotel, Harrow. Jim was informed of the award in the summer and received the Award at the NHBC Gala Lunch which took place in Effingham on the 15th October 2004. The site consisted of the new build construction of 41 flats and penthouses for both rent and shared ownership built for Acton Housing Association. The site was 6 storey in places and the fact that there was no parking on site reflects the fact that this was a high density development with little room for site storage etc. This was a wonderful achievement for Jim and the rest of the site team consisting of Contracts Manager, Martin Wallis, Assistant Site Manger, Keith Franklin, Finishing Foreman, Len Shaw and Senior Surveyor, Malcolm Chart.

Gold Lane Wins Another Award

Following its success at winning the 2002 Project Award, Gold Lane has recently received further industry recognition. It was awarded the “Worth a Detour” Award at the Housing Design Awards. The scheme of 8 single aspect houses was completed in early 2004 and was built for Notting Hill Housing Group pursuant to a PPC 200 contract. The scheme was designed by Audley English Associates who were briefed by Notting Hill to design an innovative scheme. Despite the fact that the houses were built traditional by brick and block, the buildings consisted of a number of innovative build methods including Sedam roofing and gabion walls.
