Our Approach
At Bugler we have a strong desire to evolve and do things better. This has significant benefits to our client partners as well as our supply chain partners.
Client Focus
Our philosophy is to develop and maintain excellent long term relationships with our customers. This also applies to consultants and supply chain members. This allows us to measure our own performance and that of our partners, year on year. We have our own internal procedures for measuring key factors within our business. Using KPI’s and benchmarking we also measure our own performance over time and against other contractors in our sector. We regularly partner under the PPC 2000 form of contract which helps formalise this process.
Value
We take pride in the depth of technical knowledge within our organisation. Working closely with Architects and Engineers we develop “buildable” and economic design solutions. We use a well developed system of design team liaison through meetings and workshops to value engineer our projects at the earliest possible stage.
Innovation
Our growing use of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) (such as timber frame at our Bath Road, Hounslow site) means that we are able to advise our clients of the most suitable construction methods at project inception. This early, site specific approach allows for a more integrated design process. This in turn helps improve quality and productivity during the construction phase.
Sustainable Development
We closely monitor developments in “Eco-Friendly” construction (such as Sedum roofing at our Gold Lane site). To aid this we partner with a Code for Sustainable Homes advisor and assessor. This means that we can smoothly adapt our designs to our client’s requirements and the developing standards of the Building Regulations and the Homes and Communities Agency.
Defects & Maintenance
Using MMC and other management based methods (e.g. site quality checklists) we strive to minimise the incidence of defects. Through monitoring design and specification of materials and components we aim to create buildings that will be energy efficient and have a low cost in use.
